Join us on November 17, 2021 at 1pm (EST) as we continue the monthly IP Talks series brought to you by the IP Village. In this third 1-hour webinar we present some of the main funding and support programs and how these relate to intellectual property.

Starting out: NRC-IRAP and ITA support (NRC-IRAP - 20mins):

NRC-IRAP Industrial Technology Advisors (ITA) give you access to specialized insights and the collective wisdom of the entire ITA community. They also know how to connect you to additional sources of support for your project, including technical and business advice, literature and patent searches and access to related expertise and programs.

Scaling up: IP-Backed financing (BDC – 20 minutes)

BDC’s Intellectual Property-Backed Financing solution recognizes the value of your IP strategy to raise capital to accelerate your commercialization and expansion. Learn about eligibility requirements and hear about a company that has effectively raised funding.

Going abroad: Global Affairs CanExport program (GAC – 20 minutes)

Small and medium-sized Canadian companies may access up to $75,000 in funding through CanExport SMEs and CanExport Innovation. CanExport SMEs is designed to promote and enhance Canada’s trade diversification efforts by helping Canadian SMEs prepare for and establish a presence in international markets where they currently have little or no sales. CanExport Innovation assists Canadian innovators with establishing and formalizing new collaborative research and development (R&D) partnerships with foreign partners or investors. The programs support activities that include gathering market intelligence, applying for intellectual property protection in international markets, seeking expert legal and business advice and more.

Registration is mandatory - register early to reserve your spot. Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on November 16.
