New Venture Creation at the Research Innovation Office
The New Venture Creation program helps U of G based researchers develop and grow agri-food businesses. This commercialization support program can help you create and grow your business with practical, hands-on workshops and mentorship by leading industry professionals.
Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics
The Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph is committed to developing leaders with a social conscience, an environmental sensibility and a commitment to their communities. They offer a wide range of specialized programs in business and economics across undergraduate, graduate and professional education. Launched in 2020 the Master of Science (MSc) in Management program includes a new field in Innovation, Commercialization and Entrepreneurship (ICE), ideal for students from a wide range of fields, including STEM-related disciplines.

The University of Guelph library supports campus entrepreneurs with proprietary databases and tools, custom research support, workshops, and more. Science to Business Network – Guelph Chapter
The Science to Business Network (S2BN) is a registered not for profit organization focused on supporting life science innovation and commercialization in Canada. The S2BN partners with stakeholders in academia and industry to build relationships and provide mentorship for graduate trainees and scientists who are interested in careers outside of academia and entrepreneurship. By organizing career development and networking events to highlight relevant issues and to connect like-minded professionals, we aim to enhance the career journey of highly qualified personnel and to optimize the Canadian environment for scientific innovation and commercialization.
